Residential Remodeling Exterior

Residential Remodeling Exterior $30,000 +
WINNER Tom Sekula

Project was to upgrade a 1960s ranch into a much warmer cottage look. This was accomplished by repositioning the gable, gutter and repouring the Breezeway floor, new roof with architectural shingles; all new windows and trim/molding; new steel exterior doors; soffit and fascia; new Premier Cedar Discovery Shake siding and new gutters to name a few. By incorporating these ideas, the goal was met by making this home softer and more inviting. Details in workmanship and product gave this home some character.

Residential Remodeling Exterior $10,000-$30,000
WINNER Laughlin Builders

The owners of this lovely covered patio used to feel as though they were sitting on a public stage before the builder came in and corrected this problem. What was once a raised flat concrete patio is now a beautiful outdoor room. The project included tearing out an upstairs window and adding a new one in another location; building brick knee walls and capping them with stone; adding fiberglass columns to support a new roof and removing the vinyl siding underneath the roof and replacing it with Stucco. A few of the fine details include a cedar cathedral
ceiling, slate tile flooring, lighted crown molding, brick accent lighting, a paddle ceiling fan and outdoor speakers for music.
